The Company undertakes to keep personal data confidential and to maintain the confidentiality of all facts entrusted to us by you, unless such obligation is imposed on the Company by law. The data provided to us will not be published or used for commercial or business purposes without a proper legal reason, such as your express and prior consent.

General information on the processing of personal data

For the purposes of these conditions, personal data shall be understood in the sense of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data) and Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection and on Amendments to Certain Acts: “Personal data are data relating to an identified natural person or an identifiable natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by a generally applicable identifier, another identifier such as first name, surname, an identification number, location data, or online identifier, or on the basis of one or more of the characteristics or traits that make up its physical identity, physiological identity, genetic identity, psychological identity, mental identity, economic identity, cultural identity or social identity. ”

The purpose of UNIQA GSC’s processing of personal data may be to fulfill its legal obligations under general law, to ensure communication with UNIQA GSC, to provide services, to monitor the legitimate interests of UNIQA GSC or third parties and others. If you, as the person concerned, want to find out about the specific purpose of the processing of personal data, please contact us in the manner specified in these conditions.

UNIQA GSC may process the personal data provided by you, obtained either by direct contact, email, post or other means of communication, camera images of its own buildings or obtained through the website https://www.uniqa-gsc.sk/.

UNIQA GSC is not considered to be an operator if it obtains personal data in a random manner without first specifying the purposes and means of processing, for example by mistake or without request. UNIQA GSC will not further process the personal data provided in this way and will destroy it without notifying the sender.

The personal data we collect and process is mainly:

  • identification data such as name, surname, title, date of birth, permanent
    residence address,
  • contact details such as telephone number, email address, fax number,
  • bank details
  • other data provided or obtained by you in accordance with the above.

Within these social networks, UNIQA GSC may occasionally organize competitions, in which UNIQA GSC will always publish the conditions of the competition, including the conditions of protection and processing of personal data.

UNIQA GSC may process a photograph or video recording of you (especially taken at an event organized by UNIQA GSC or another company within UNIQA Insurance Group) or through scanning devices in UNIQA GSC buildings.

The camera recordings made in connection with the UNIQA GSC premises are only used to protect the life, health and property of natural and legal persons. These records may be made available to third parties such as the security guard service provider, the building manager or law enforcement authorities, insurance companies, victims and others. UNIQA GSC keeps the records for 15 days (the longest) and then automatically deletes them. Any use of such records is subject to the protection of property, life and health.

Records and photos from various events may be published by UNIQA GSC on social media sites (information society service providers), usually:

UNIQA GSC also stores the abovementioned personal data (photos and records of events) internally on INTRANET and on an external cloud (on the external server of the information society service provider) in particular:

Due to the fact that UNIQA GSC processes your personal data through information society service providers, it cannot guarantee that this data will not be transferred to third countries, however the privacy settings in the UNIQA GSC user account have been set to an adequate level of protection to avoid transfer of personal data without adequate protection. UNIQA GSC shall respect the fundamental rights and freedoms of each person concerned in the processing and shall not disclose such personal data that may violate your fundamental freedoms (in particular the dignity of the person) and cease to process them if the purpose of the processing is lost or if, as the person concerned, they object to the processing or if they assess that the interests of the person concerned outweigh the interests of UNIQA GSC.

However, this does not preclude UNIQA GSC from collecting information from publicly available sources (websites, newspapers, open databases and registers, etc.), which it further processes.

Job interview

Your personal data will be processed by the UNIQA GSC operator for the purpose of a possible job interview within the framework of a pre-contractual relationship pursuant to § 41 et seq. Labor Code. The persons authorized for the processing of your personal data are the employees of the HR department. The contact for the responsible person is GDPR-UGSC@uniqa.at, tel. contact: 037 7760 111.

Your personal data will be processed during the length of completion of the job interview and will not be transferred to third countries. You have the right to exercise your rights on this operator’s website at any time until the termination of the job interview (notification of the decision on the outcome of the interview) as well as the right to file a complaint to the supervisory authority. It concerns the processing of your personal data according to § 41 of the Labor Code as the so-called pre-contractual relations. If your personal data is not provided, it is not possible to conduct a job interview.

Fulfillment of obligations of the liable person

For the purposes of preventing and detecting money laundering and terrorist financing, UNIQA GSC is a liable person within the meaning of Act no. 297/2008 Coll. on Protection against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing and on Amendments to Certain Terrorist Financing and on Amendments to Certain Acts (hereinafter referred to as the “AML Act”) authorized to collect, obtain, record, store, use and otherwise process personal data and other data without the consent of the persons concerned, to the extent required for the performance of basic, simplified or enhanced care and for the purpose of detecting an unusual business transaction under the AML Act. UNIQA GSC is entitled to obtain personal data necessary to achieve the purpose of processing by copying, scanning or otherwise recording official documents on an information carrier and to process birth numbers and other data and documents without the consent of the persons concerned.

Fulfillment of obligations under Act no. 54/2019 Coll. on the protection of whistleblowers and amendment of certain laws (WHISTLEBLOWING)

For the purpose of providing protection against unjustified sanctions in an employment relationship in connection with the reporting of crime or other anti-social activities, UNIQA GSC is entitled to collect, obtain, record, store, use and otherwise process personal data and other data without the consent of the persons concerned, to the extent required for the verification, investigation, processing, notification and disclosure of the notifier’s initiative. UNIQA GSC is entitled to obtain personal data necessary to achieve the purpose of processing by copying, scanning or otherwise recording official documents on an information carrier and to process personal identifiction numbers and other data and documents without the consent of the personcs concerned.

UNIQA GSC is also obliged to keep records of complaints for a period of three years from
the date of delivery of the complaint to the extent of:

  1. date of receipt of the complaint,
  2. name, surname and address of the person who filed the complaint; in the case of an anonymous complaint, only a statement that it is an anonymous complaint,
  3. subject of the complaint,
  4. the result of the verification of the complaint,
  5. date of termination of the examination of the complaint.

Providing data to intermediaries
Please note that in order to improve the quality of the services provided, your personal data may be provided to our intermediaries. In the case of using the services of a mediator (including sub-intermediaries), UNIQA GSC will take all necessary measures to ensure that such third party provides protection for your data and standards at least to the same extent as in our country and in accordance with the fundamental rights of persons concerned.

Provision of data to third parties
Occasionally UNIQA GSC is required to provide your personal information to third parties if required to do so by generally binding law or other legal grounds. In such case, it shall take necessary measures to achieve the highest possible level of protection according to the specific circumstances of the case.

Cross – border transfers
UNIQA GSC does not carry out targeted transfers to third countries, but should transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEC) to countries where the protection of personal data does not reach the required level of protection arise, UNIQA GSC will take all reasonable measures to ensure the security of your personal data.

UNIQA GSC utilizes various measures of a security, technical and organizational nature to ensure the security of data against access by unauthorized persons, their modification, misuse, deletion or loss. Your rights in relation to your personal data

The applicable generally binding legal regulations give the persons concerned several rights in relation to the processing of their personal data. Please note that these rights may be limited in cases where this is stipulated by the applicable generally binding legal regulation.

This is in particular the right to:

  • information on the purpose and categories of personal data processed,
  • their correction, addition, deletion,
  • limitation of processing, objection to processing and the length of their storage,
  • to confirm whether personal data are being processed and to gain access to this personal data,
  • be informed about adequate safeguards regarding the transfer of the personal data concerned
  • information on third parties to whom the data will be entrusted.

Consent and withdrawal of consent.

The consent given by the persons concerned to the processing of their personal data shall remain valid until revoked in writing.

The persons concerned may revoke their consent and request that the company stop processing their personal data for any of the above purposes, in writing or by e-mail, but only provided that the personal data are processed with the consent of the persons concerned.

Upon receipt of a request for revocation of the persons‘ concerned consent to the processing of personal data, UNIQA GSC will process the request without delay and inform you about the consequences that could affect your rights and obligations.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the company’s right to continue processing personal data, unless such processing is conditional to your consent or there is another legitimate reason for the processing.

Complaint

The person concerned is entitled to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic if they consider that their rights are directly affected as stipulated by Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on the amendment of certain regulations.

The motion to institute proceedings (complaint) must contain

  • name, surname, correspondence address and signature of the person concerned,
  • an indication of the person against whom the complaint is directed, stating the name, surname, permanent residence or name, registered office and identification number, if assigned,
  • the subject of the motion, indicating the rights which have allegedly been infringed in the processing of personal data,
  • the evidence to support the claims made in the motion
  • a copy of the document or other evidence proving the exercise of a right under the law or a special regulation, if such right has been exercised by the person concerned (e.g. with the Employer), or an indication of reasons worthy of special consideration of not exercising the right in question, if the motion has been filed by the person concerned.The motion draft will be published by the Office for Personal Data Protection on their website.
